Processes refer to the flow of work through your company and are driven by the achievement of a desired outcome. Procedures define the sequence of steps to execute a task in support of a process. Software is a tool that supports both processes and procedures.
All areas of your business, from strategic planning through financial analysis, involve systems. These systems need to work in concert with each other much like the systems in the human body. When one area is weak the other areas are impacted. Like having a successful marketing plan without a strong sales leg the company (body) becomes unbalanced.
